Autumn and winter are coming, the weather is slowly turning cold, and greenhouses are slowly being used. No matter for novices or veterans, there are always many problems in greenhouse management, which will directly affect the yield and quality of vegetables, so we need Take precautions and response measures in advance, what are the response measures? You need to know how to take these measures!

  1. Why should we increase the lighting time as much as possible?

Theoretically, the longer the lighting time, the higher the photosynthesis efficiency, and the more organic products the crop produces, that is, the higher the yield and quality.

In winter in the north, the light time is short, so try to increase the light time in the greenhouse.

As soon as the sun came out, it opened the quilt or the grass in time, and covered it after the sun went down. Of course, considering the temperature problem, you can flexibly control in time.

  2. Why do you need to uncover the quilts in cloudy weather?

During the growth of plants, there are photosynthesis and respiration. Photosynthesis can be carried out with light, while respiration can be performed with or without light. In other words, during photosynthesis during the day, in fact, respiration is also taking place.

Although there is no direct sunlight in the daytime in snowy weather, there is still scattered light. Plants can use these seemingly weak light to perform photosynthesis to maintain growth.

If you do not uncover the quilt or the grass, there will be no light in the shed, no photosynthesis, only breathing. On the one hand, the nutrients stored in the plant will continue to decrease with respiration. Over time, the growth and resistance of the plant will be greatly reduced, the ability to resist infection by the bacteria will be reduced, and the disease will be more likely to be infected; Plants have the habit of growing toward the light. When there is no light or the light is weak, they will grow upwards, resulting in slender and long, not only easy to fall down, but also easy to cause diseases.

Therefore, on cloudy days or when there is little snowfall, you should uncover the quilt as much as possible during the day, and pay attention to clean up the snow covered on the greenhouse film.
